the location is perfect for exploring Shanghai. You are right in the shopping district and on the metro Line 2 which easily connects with the airport
the breakfast is not great for western tastes. Needs better coffee and maybe a continental breakfast including yoghurt? There was also some difficulty with the agreed price. We booked this hotel for US$138.48, for two people for two nights, so total US$553.92 but reception charged us RMB3800 which worked out more expensive (they said is was to do with daily exchange rate).
location is the only thing I can think of which is positive
the room is extremely tiny and windows are surprisingly absent! the bedsheets were filled with stains which made us feel impossible to get asleep while being exposed to a kind of awkward smell. I could not imagine what the bed was made of since I only felt sth hard and inelastic beneath my back. a joke - the "inclusive" breakfast is for 1 person only, though the room I booked was supposedly for 2 persons. I in fact booked 5 nights at this hotel but I immediately shifted to another 5-star hotel early the second morning. I couldn't escape earlier. I came to really know whats the meaning of hell & heaven. without ruitai I could not possibly appreciate the goodness of my 2nd hotel. a kind of magical experience in ruitai indeed.
Good western breakfast, good wired internet in room, very convenient for shops, restaurants and subway station
I booked an economy room at a cost of USD 65- but when I saw it, I rejected it as it was very small and had no window. Booking .com website did not indicate this.I complained and agreed to pay an additional USD7.00 and upgraded to a large room overlooking the wallking street (Nanjing )
